Tip Rhinoplasty

Tip rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed with intent to correct deformities in the nasal tip. Tip rhinoplasty is just a correction procedure performed on the cartilages of the nasal tip. With this procedure, the nasal wings can be narrowed, the sagging, long, thick, narrow, wide or high nasal tips can be reshaped, and the nose-lip angle can be changed by this way. It can be applied to men and women over 18 years old. In tip rhinoplasty operations, almost no swelling and bruise appears, and the possible edema disappears in a short time.

In tip rhinoplasty operations, the closed rhinoplasty technique is used. No scar remains on the nasal tip after this surgical procedure. Such operations performed without use of nasal packs take 30 to 60 minutes. The patient who does not need to stay in the hospital after the operation can return to his/her social life and business life in a short time.

The numbness in the nasal tip is one of the side effects experienced in the postoperative period. This condition improves with a gradual decrease within 2 to 3 months. If necessary, the patient is taught how to massage the nose. He/she can wear contact lenses 3 days after surgery, light frame glasses 1 month after surgery, and heavy frame glasses 3 months after surgery. Sometimes a mild nasal obstruction may be experienced due to the postoperative swelling and crusting in the nose. This condition improves with a gradual decrease within 2 months.

After the operation, the patient can begin to do mild exercises within 2 weeks and heavy exercises within 6 weeks. The nasal tip takes its final shape within 6 months to 1 year.
